Eva Mendes (born in New York City) is an American actress and model. She was spotted by a talent agency who recognized her potential and convinced her to pursue a career in the field of entertainment. The university she attended dropped her after much consideration to pursue a career in entertainment. The actress was unhappy by the role she played in the film Children of the Corn V Fields of Terror. It took her quite a long time to perfect her acting abilities and appeared in a variety of low-budget films in attempt to showcase her skills. Even though it was not an easier path, the actor's sheer determination and tenacity were well-rewarded. Her name was praised and she received high praise for her performance in the film Training Day after which her acting career began to take off.
